Itinerary

2–3 pm

Drinks at the bar

We start with a drink together. It’s also where Paola and Lovre see each other for the first time that day.

Late afternoon

The church

We’ll say “I do” at the Church of St. Simeon (Sveti Šime) in the heart of Zadar’s Old Town. The church is best known for its 14th-century gilded silver chest, which is traditionally believed to hold the remains of St. Simeon, the biblical figure said to have held the infant Jesus.

From about 8 pm

The party at Arsenal

Dinner, drinks, and dancing inside Arsenal, a 16th-century Venetian warehouse in the heart of Zadar. Once built for ships and sea trade, now built for a very late night.

Fair warning to our international guests: Croatian weddings do not end early. Expect plenty of food, flowing rakija, and a dance floor with no bedtime.

Until sunrise

Last dance

The heels come off, the rakija kicks in, and “one more song” somehow turns into ten. We’ll be dancing until sunrise.
